Vivendi Universal Games (later Vivendi Games)

Vivendi Universal Games was the video game publishing division of the French media conglomerate Vivendi (formerly Vivendi Universal). Formed around the turn of the 2000s through Vivendi's consolidation of several interactive and game labels (including Sierra Entertainment and Universal Interactive), the unit acted as a publisher and distributor for a wide range of PC and console titles and managed a number of legacy gaming brands.

The division was renamed Vivendi Games in the mid-2000s and ceased to exist as an independent publisher after Vivendi merged its games arm with Activision in 2008 to create Activision Blizzard. Many of the assets, IPs and labels that had been under the Vivendi Universal Games umbrella were absorbed into the new company or licensed/sold thereafter.
