Telltale Games
Telltale Games is an American video game developer and publisher best known for episodic, narrative-driven adventure games. Founded in 2004 by a group of former LucasArts employees, the studio developed a signature approach focused on player choice and branching storylines. Their breakout title was The Walking Dead (2012), which received widespread critical acclaim and multiple industry awards; other notable releases include The Wolf Among Us, Tales from the Borderlands, Game of Thrones, and various licensed-poker spin-offs.
The original Telltale Games experienced rapid growth throughout the 2000s and 2010s but entered liquidation and effectively closed in 2018. In 2019 the Telltale brand and some assets were acquired by LCG Entertainment, which re-established Telltale Games and has since worked to relaunch and preserve parts of the studio's catalog while developing new narrative projects.
