Team GrisGris is a small Japanese game developer best known as the creator of the Corpse Party series. The group originated in the dōjin (indie) game scene and built its reputation on tense, narrative-driven survival-horror adventure games that began as RPG Maker titles and were later remade and ported to multiple platforms. Their work centers on horror storytelling, character-driven scenarios, and often uses visual-novel-style presentation combined with puzzle and exploration elements.

XSEED Games is an American video game publisher and localizer that has handled English releases for a number of Japanese titles, including the PC/Steam releases of Corpse Party. Founded in the mid-2000s, XSEED focuses on localization, QA, and publishing support to bring Japanese developers' games to Western markets. XSEED was later integrated under the Marvelous/Marvelous USA corporate umbrella and is known for publishing JRPGs, adventure games, and niche Japanese titles to global audiences.
