Simon Tatham (PuTTY)

Simon Tatham is a British software developer best known as the original author and long-term maintainer of PuTTY, a widely used open-source SSH and telnet client for Windows (and ports for other platforms). PuTTY began in the late 1990s as a small, lightweight terminal emulator and has grown into a suite that includes GUI and command-line tools such as PuTTY itself, PSCP, PSFTP (command-line SFTP), Plink (command-line connection tool), Pageant (SSH authentication agent) and utilities for key generation and management. The project is hosted and distributed from Simon's personal site and source is available to the community; PuTTY is frequently mirrored across other repositories and package managers.
