Siemens EDA (formerly Mentor Graphics)

Siemens EDA (originally Mentor Graphics) is the electronics design automation (EDA) business unit of Siemens Digital Industries Software. Mentor Graphics was founded in 1981 and grew to become a major supplier of software and hardware used for electronic circuit design, simulation, verification, PCB design, and manufacturing flow. In 2017 Mentor Graphics was acquired by Siemens and rebranded as Siemens EDA; its product lines continue under the Siemens umbrella and are integrated with Siemens' broader digital industries and industrial software offerings.

Siemens EDA provides tools for chip and board designers including simulation and verification (e.g., ModelSim, Questa), PCB design and layout (PADS, Xpedition, DxDesigner), test and DFT solutions (Tessent), and manufacturing/production flow tools.
