Sega Corporation

Sega Corporation is a Japanese multinational video game developer and publisher and entertainment company. Originating from earlier arcade and amusement businesses, Sega grew into one of the most recognizable names in consumer and arcade gaming, producing hardware and software for decades and publishing franchises spanning platformers, sports, rhythm games, and more. Today Sega operates global development, publishing, and licensing businesses and is a subsidiary of the Sega Sammy Holdings group.

Sonic Team is an internal Sega development studio best known for creating and evolving the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Formed within Sega to develop flagship action titles, Sonic Team has produced many of the series' mainline and spin-off games (for example Sonic Riders and Sonic Forces among many others) and continues to serve as one of Sega's prominent in-house studios responsible for franchise design, development oversight, and ongoing support of Sonic-branded releases.
