Sage (Pastel / Sage Pastel)

Sage Pastel (often referred to simply as Pastel) is the name used for a suite of small- and medium-business accounting products marketed by Sage as part of its global portfolio. The Pastel product line includes desktop accounting packages such as Pastel Partner and Pastel Xpress, which provide core functionality for bookkeeping, invoicing, inventory, payroll and financial reporting aimed primarily at SMEs and accounting practices in South Africa and other southern African markets.

Pastel originated as a South African accounting-software vendor whose products became widely adopted by local businesses and accountants. The Pastel product line was acquired and incorporated into The Sage Group's offerings and is now sold and supported under the Sage brand (commonly referenced as Sage Pastel).
