Oracle Corporation (PeopleSoft)
PeopleSoft started as an independent enterprise software company (founded in 1987 by David Duffield and Ken Morris) that built human resources, financials, supply chain and other enterprise applications targeted at medium and large organizations. Its PeopleTools platform and PeopleSoft applications were widely used for HRMS, payroll, ERP, and campus solutions. In 2005 Oracle Corporation completed a high-profile acquisition of PeopleSoft and subsequently folded PeopleSoft into its broader suite of enterprise applications while continuing support and development of PeopleSoft product lines under the Oracle brand.
