New World Computing was an American video game developer best known for creating the long-running Might and Magic role-playing series and the Heroes of Might and Magic spin-off strategy games. The studio was founded in the 1980s by designer Jon Van Caneghem and built a reputation for deep, ambitious PC RPGs and turn-based strategy titles that influenced the genres throughout the 1990s.

The company was acquired by The 3DO Company in the mid-1990s and continued to produce entries in the Might and Magic and Heroes franchises until the early 2000s. Following 3DO's bankruptcy, the Might and Magic intellectual property was purchased by Ubisoft in 2003; New World Computing itself ceased operations around that time. The studio no longer maintains an active website or official social profiles, and control of its most recognizable IP now resides with Ubisoft.
