Myriad Software
Myriad Software is a small, specialist software company best known for the Harmony Assistant and Melody Assistant music notation and composition applications. The company focuses on tools for music creation, engraving, MIDI sequencing and score playback, providing features such as standard notation, tablature, lyrics, MIDI import/export, and integrated sound playback. Their products target composers, arrangers, educators and hobbyist musicians who need a compact but capable notation and sequencing environment.
Myriad has maintained a long-running line of music software with iterative updates and an active user community. The company’s software is often praised for its balance of notation features and real-time playback, and for supporting a variety of import/export formats to work alongside other music tools. While smaller than large commercial DAW or notation vendors, Myriad occupies a niche for users who want an integrated, accessible notation/sequencing package.
