Motorola Solutions, Inc. is a global provider of mission-critical communication products and services for public safety and enterprise customers. The company traces its roots to the original Motorola, a pioneer in wireless communications founded in 1928; Motorola Solutions was formed as a separate, focused company in 2011 following a corporate split that created Motorola Mobility. Motorola Solutions builds and supports land mobile radio systems (LMR) such as ASTRO and MOTOTRBO, dispatch and command-center software, and integrated voice and data solutions used by police, fire, emergency medical services and other critical infrastructure organizations.
