Microsoft Corporation (Sysinternals)
Sysinternals is a suite of advanced Windows utilities and technical resources originally created and maintained by Mark Russinovich and Bryce Cogswell to help administrators, developers and power users troubleshoot, diagnose and monitor Windows systems. The suite includes well-known tools such as Process Explorer, Autoruns, Process Monitor (Procmon), and BGInfo that expose low-level Windows internals, enable deep process and registry inspection, and assist with startup and performance troubleshooting.
Microsoft acquired the Sysinternals team and assets in 2006 and now hosts and maintains the Sysinternals tools and documentation under the Microsoft Docs/TechNet umbrella. The tools are distributed freely (though many remain closed-source) and continue to be widely used by IT professionals, incident responders and developers for system diagnostics, malware analysis, forensics and performance tuning.
