JoWooD Productions Software AG was an Austrian video game publisher and developer best known for publishing a range of PC titles in the late 1990s and 2000s, including simulation and strategy games such as the Industry Giant and Transport Giant series. Founded in the mid-1990s, JoWooD grew from a regional distributor into an international publisher, releasing and localizing a variety of genres (strategy, simulation, RPG) across Europe and beyond. During the CD-ROM/early digital-distribution era the company was a recognizable brand on retail shelves and in European PC gaming markets.
