IntelliCAD Technology Consortium (IntelliCAD)

IntelliCAD is a CAD development consortium and the name of an AutoCAD®-compatible CAD engine produced by that consortium. The IntelliCAD Technology Consortium (ITC) is a group of member companies that jointly develop and maintain the IntelliCAD engine, which is licensed to OEMs and resellers who build and distribute finished CAD products under their own brands. The IntelliCAD engine emphasizes native DWG read/write compatibility and provides a familiar 2D/3D drafting environment, APIs for customization (such as LISP, COM/.NET), and extensibility for vertical toolsets.

Historically, IntelliCAD dates back to the 1990s and has evolved as a collaborative, member-driven project rather than a single commercial vendor.
