The studio is best known for creating several major console franchises including Spyro (early career work), Ratchet & Clank, Resistance, and more recently the Marvel's Spider-Man series. Insomniac has developed primarily for Sony PlayStation platforms and is recognized for high-production-value, narrative-driven single-player experiences and technically impressive platform exclusive titles.
