ICSharpCode
ICSharpCode is an open-source project group best known for creating developer tooling for the .NET ecosystem. The group originated from the SharpDevelop IDE community and has produced a number of widely used projects such as SharpDevelop (an open-source .NET IDE), AvalonEdit (a text editor component), and ILSpy (a popular .NET assembly decompiler). ICSharpCode projects are community-driven and hosted openly, with contributions from volunteers and maintainers around the world.
Over time ICSharpCode has come to be recognized more as a community/organization umbrella around these projects rather than a commercial company. Its work focuses on tooling for .NET developers—providing editors, decompilers, and related utilities—and many of its projects are actively maintained on GitHub. ILSpy, in particular, is widely used for inspecting and decompiling .NET assemblies and has been developed and maintained under the ICSharpCode organization and by contributors across the open-source community.
