HP Inc. (commonly known as HP) is an American multinational information technology company that develops personal computers, printers and related supplies, as well as imaging and printing systems, personal computing devices, and associated services. The company traces its roots to Hewlett-Packard, founded in 1939 by Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard. In 2015 Hewlett-Packard split into two publicly traded companies: HP Inc., which retained the PC and printer businesses, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), which focuses on enterprise products and services.
