UL Benchmarks (formerly Futuremark)

UL Benchmarks is the benchmarking and performance measurement division originally operating as Futuremark, best known for the 3DMark series of graphics and system benchmarks. Under the Futuremark name the company built a reputation for standardized, widely used synthetic tests for gaming PCs, laptops, mobile devices and VR systems; 3DMark (including legacy versions such as 3DMark05), PCMark and VRMark are among its flagship products. Some executables and components from legacy test suites (for example testdriverclient.exe) are commonly encountered in contexts where these benchmark suites are distributed or automated.

In December 2014 Futuremark's benchmarking business was acquired by Underwriters Laboratories (UL).
