Fatshark AB
Fatshark AB is an independent Swedish game developer founded in 2008 and based in Stockholm. The studio is best known for creating cooperative, first-person action games with a strong emphasis on melee combat, class-based characters, and team play — most notably Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide (2015) and its follow-up Warhammer: Vermintide 2 (2018). These titles established Fatshark as a prominent mid-size studio in the co-op action niche.
Fatshark develops and supports games across PC and console platforms, delivering frequent content updates, expansions/DLC, and community-driven improvements. The studio has become recognized for its polished combat systems, live-service style post-launch support, and use of established engines (the Vermintide series was built on Unreal Engine). While Vermintide is their flagship franchise, Fatshark has produced and supported several other action-oriented projects over the years.
