Broadcom Inc. (formerly CA Technologies for enterprise software)

Broadcom Inc. is a global technology company known primarily for its semiconductor and infrastructure software businesses. The company in its current form traces its lineage through Broadcom Corporation and Avago Technologies; Avago acquired Broadcom Corporation and adopted the Broadcom name. Broadcom has grown through a series of strategic acquisitions to encompass a broad portfolio that includes chips for networking, storage and broadband, as well as a large enterprise software division.

In November 2018 Broadcom acquired CA Technologies, integrating CA's enterprise software portfolio into what Broadcom markets as its Software Group.
