BandLab Technologies is a Singapore-based music technology company formed to provide an integrated, social platform for musicians, producers and creators. Launched in 2015, BandLab offers web and mobile DAW tools, collaboration features, social sharing, a sample library, and services to help artists create, publish and promote music. The platform is aimed at lowering the barrier to music creation by combining recording, mixing/mastering tools and community features into a single, largely free offering.
In 2018 BandLab acquired the assets of Cakewalk (the company behind the Sonar/Cakewalk DAW) from Gibson and subsequently re-released the Windows DAW under the name "Cakewalk by BandLab," continuing development and support for legacy Cakewalk users. BandLab continues to focus on developer and creator tools, education offerings and artist services while maintaining its core BandLab social music platform and companion apps.
