ASUSTeK Computer Inc., commonly known as ASUS, is a Taiwanese multinational computer and phone hardware and electronics company founded in 1989 in Taipei by T.H. Tung, Ted Hsu, Wayne Hsieh and M.T. Liao. The company began as a motherboard manufacturer and expanded rapidly into a broad portfolio of consumer and enterprise hardware.
