tnsping
Description
tnsping is a small command-line utility provided with Oracle Net Services that checks connectivity to an Oracle Net listener or a TNS names service entry. It sends a lightweight probe to the listener/service to verify that the specified Oracle Net service (TNS alias or connect descriptor) is reachable and responding, helping diagnose name resolution or network connectivity issues to an Oracle database.
