Optimize Drives
Description
Optimize Drives is a built-in Windows utility from Microsoft that analyzes and optimizes storage devices. For traditional hard disk drives (HDDs) it performs defragmentation to rearrange fragmented data for improved access times; for solid-state drives (SSDs) it issues TRIM commands and performs other maintenance appropriate to SSDs rather than typical defragmentation.
