Description
Microsoft Safety Scanner (commonly distributed as msert.exe) is an on-demand security scanning tool provided by Microsoft for detecting and removing malware from Windows systems. It uses the same antimalware engine and definitions as Microsoft Defender but is designed for one-time scans rather than continuous, real-time protection.
