Electric Sheep is a distributed, collaborative art project and screensaver that generates evolving fractal animations (called "sheep") using volunteers' computers. The software connects to a central server to download, render, and vote on animations; the most popular animations are evolved further by a genetic algorithm, producing continuously changing abstract visuals.
