Borderlands 3 is an action role-playing first-person shooter video game developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K Games. The game was announced on March 28, 2019, and is scheduled for release on September 13, 2019, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It is the third main installment in the Borderlands series, and the sequel to 2012's Borderlands 2.
