The Battlefield 4 Community Test Environment (CTE) is an official testing branch run by DICE (EA Digital Illusions CE) for Battlefield 4. It allows community members to access pre-release builds, experimental patches, custom maps, and gameplay changes so they can test new features and help identify bugs, balance issues, and performance regressions before updates reach the live game.
