Safe Software Inc. is a Canadian software company founded in the early 1990s (co-founded by Don Murray and Dale Lutz) and headquartered in British Columbia. The company is best known for developing FME (Feature Manipulation Engine), a data integration platform focused on spatial/geospatial data but broadly used for format translation, transformation, and automation. Over the years Safe Software has expanded FME into a suite that includes FME Desktop (Workbench), FME Data Inspector, FME Server, and FME Cloud, along with an ecosystem of connectors and transformers for hundreds of file formats and systems.
