Comodo Group (Comodo)

Comodo Group (commonly known as Comodo) is a cybersecurity company founded in 1998 by Melih Abdulhayoglu. Historically known for its certificate authority business and a wide range of consumer and enterprise security products, Comodo developed endpoint protection (antivirus, firewall), the Chromium-based Comodo Dragon browser (dragon.exe), Comodo Cloud Antivirus, and remote-support tools such as Comodo Remote Control. The company has long focused on preventing malware and securing endpoints using technologies such as containment/sandboxing, behavior analysis, and signature-based detection.

In recent years the company’s certificate business was sold and rebranded as Sectigo (after acquisition by Francisco Partners), but the Comodo brand continues to provide consumer and enterprise security software and management platforms.
