The College Board
The College Board is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1900 that connects students to college success and opportunity. Best known for developing and administering standardized tests used in U.S. college admissions and placement—most notably the SAT, PSAT/NMSQT, and Advanced Placement (AP) programs—the College Board also provides resources and services to help students prepare for, apply to, and succeed in higher education. Over its history the organization has expanded its offerings to include college planning tools, scholarship search services, and research on postsecondary education.
