BioShock Infinite is a first-person shooter video game developed by Irrational Games and published by 2K Games. The game was released on March 26, 2013. It is the third title in the BioShock series, and it takes place in the year 1912. The player assumes the role of Booker DeWitt, a former Pinkerton agent, who is sent to the flying city of Columbia to rescue a young woman named Elizabeth. Booker finds himself in the middle of a conflict between the city's Founders and the Vox Populi. He must choose to side with one of them, or fight against both.
BioShock Infinite uses a Modified Unreal Engine 3 game engine. The game is set in the city of Columbia, which is suspended in the sky by giant blimps and balloons. The player can use a variety of weapons and gadgets to defeat enemies, including the Murder of Crows vigor which allows the player to control crows. The game also features an air-rail system, which allows the player to travel quickly between different parts of the city.
BioShock Infinite received critical acclaim from critics, who praised the story,Visuals, and settings. Some criticisms were directed at the game's ending. The game was also a commercial success,selling over 4 million copies.
