🎉 New Features
- New stats for mouse distance and scrolls!
- Mouse distance is tracked in inches and translated into your native measurements. You can toggle between metric and imperial in the General Settings.
- Scrolls are counted in all directions: up, down, left, and right.
- We redesigned the mouse details page to fit the new metrics.
- Includes per-application stats.
- Computer Uptime: Add an uptime chart with the hourly uptime of the last eight days.
- Computer Uptime: Change the "Favorite reboot days" dot chart into a pie chart that's easier to read.
- Add support for hourly mouse coordinate exports.
- Add navigation links to the feedback form and help center for easy access.
- Support for macOS 13 (Ventura) and Apple Silicon processors.
- Add the ability to delete a network interface from the list, deleting its history.
- Add a startup parameter to get the current client version.
- For example: .\WhatPulse.exe --version
📈 Improvements
- Improve Geek Window position tracking with multiple monitors and fix remembering the Geek Window position between sessions.
- Make it easier to change the Geek Window font size.
- Upload the computer profile (specs, hardware) after pulsing if the website doesn't have a profile. Speeds up the computer profile visibility.
- Modernize the software framework: Windows is now 64bit only, and we upgraded Qt from v5 to v6. This means faster development.
- Ignore Tailscale VPN interfaces. VPN interfaces produce bad stats.
🐛 Bug Fixes
- Don't shuffle tabs when saving the settings, making the page jump.
- Input and Network applications could show fewer stats than recorded when applications have multiple different folders from where it runs. An example of an application that does this is Discord.
- Sometimes the client would not start on Windows with a non-administrator account, and when 'Run as Administrator' was enabled.
- Fix the percentage calculation of the mouse button with low numbers. Sometimes the middle button showed 1% with 0 clicks.
- Fix mouse coordinate exports. In some cases, the results were 0x0 instead of the resolution coordinates (i.e., 1021x879)
- Linux: fix detecting touchpad gestures as (many) clicks in some scenarios.
- Windows: Fix navigation menu icon size and quality when system scaling is more than 150%
📝 Notes
- The Linux AppImage is the only distribution from now on. We will no longer update the Snap.
- In line with the Premium features and messaging, the per-application input and uptime history are now limited to 1 week.
