Description
xmr-stak-amd is the AMD GPU build of xmr-stak, an open-source miner for Monero (XMR) and other CryptoNight/RandomX-based cryptocurrencies. It enables AMD graphics cards to participate in mining by connecting to mining pools or solo nodes and offers configurable parameters for GPU threads, intensity, and pool settings. Often distributed as part of legitimate mining setups, xmr-stak-amd binaries have also been observed used in unauthorized cryptomining (cryptojacking) campaigns.
