XChat
Description
XChat is a graphical IRC (Internet Relay Chat) client for Unix-like systems and Windows. It supports connecting to multiple servers and channels, DCC file transfers, nickname and channel management, and basic logging.
The client is extensible via scripting (Python and Perl) and plugins, allowing automation and feature extensions. XChat is/was distributed under open-source licenses and has inspired forks (for example HexChat) that continue active development.
