Titanfall is an online-only first-person shooter video game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. It was released for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 in March 2014. The game is set in a dystopian future, where humans battle for resources against the Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation (IMC) and the Militia. Players control " Pilots ", agile soldiers who battle using mech-style exoskeletons called "Titans" to complete team-based objectives.

The game received generally positive reviews, with critics praising its design, fast-paced action and multiplayer gameplay. However, some reviewers criticized its lack of a single-player campaign, while others experienced connectivity issues. Over 10 million unique players had registered by May 2016. A sequel, Titanfall 2, was released in October 2016.
