Tera Term is an open-source terminal emulator for Windows originally written by T. Teranishi (often referred to as Tera Term Pro). It supports SSH, Telnet, serial (COM) connections and offers scripting, macro support, file transfer (XMODEM/YMODEM/ZMODEM), and various terminal emulations (VT100/VT220/ANSI).
