Microsoft Management Console

The Microsoft Management Console (MMC) provides a versatile and customizable framework through which system administrators and software developers can manage system features and configure system components.Using MMC, administrators can quickly and easily access system features and settings while software developers can use MMC to create custom management tools.

MMC consists of a console window, a tree view window, and one or more panels. The console window is where you run commands and view the results. The tree view window displays the hierarchical structure of the system. The panels display the settings for the currently selected node in the tree view.
