About NPCAP

NPCAP is an open-source library used by WhatPulse for capturing network traffic on Windows, enabling precise measurements of download and upload statistics. It's specifically integrated into the WhatPulse client to accurately monitor your network usage.

The NPCAP integration has been benchmarked effectively to measure network speeds up to 10Gbit/s. Depending on your computer's hardware and available resources, you can typically expect accurate measurements between 8 and 10Gbit/s.

NPCAP is bundled with the WhatPulse installer, ensuring it's installed automatically. However, if you need to reinstall or update NPCAP separately, you can download the latest version directly from the official NPCAP website.

Please note that all WhatPulse client features, aside from network traffic measurement, will function normally even if NPCAP isn't installed. To ensure full functionality, particularly accurate network statistics, having NPCAP installed is strongly recommended.
