Based on the events of the 16th century shogunate, the singleplayer campaign follows the story of the daimyo (feudal lord) oda nobunaga, fighting for control of japan against rival clans and the powerful ashikaga shogunate.
In multiplayer mode, players can compete against each other in team battles, or in epic free-for-alls.
