Torchlight II

Torchlight II is an action role-playing game developed by Runic Games. The game was released for Windows in September 2012, and for OS X in October 2012. Torchlight II is the sequel to 2009's Torchlight, and was announced in August 2010. The game uses a heavily modified version of the Unreal Engine 3 game engine.

The game takes place in the town of Torchlight, located in the fictional world of Ordrak. The player takes on the role of one of three adventurers, each with their own unique abilities, sets out to stop the Alchemist, a villain who has destroyed the town and released a horde of monsters into the world.

The game features four playable character classes: the engineer, the Embermage, the Berserker, and the Outlander. The character classes are each designed for different playing styles. The engineer is a melee-oriented class that uses guns and turrets to fight enemies; the Embermage is a spellcaster that uses fire and ice spells to damage enemies; the Berserker is a melee class that uses dual-wielded swords and axes to deal damage; and the Outlander is a ranged class that uses pistols and bows to deal damage from a distance.

In addition to the four playable character classes, the game features a pet system that allows the player to select a pet to accompany them on their adventures. Pets can be leveled up and given equipment to make them more effective in combat.

The game also features a crafting system that allows the player to create weapons, armor, and potions from materials they find while exploring the world.
