Where to find the logs?

The WhatPulse client maintains detailed logs to keep track of key activities and especially to capture information when something doesn't go as planned. These logs are particularly useful if you're encountering difficulties or unexpected behavior with the client.

By default, the client records essential successful actions and events. More importantly, it captures detailed information whenever an issue occurs, which significantly aids troubleshooting.

You'll find these logs stored in a file named app.log. This file resides in your WhatPulse data directory, providing easy access whenever you need it. For guidance on locating your specific data directory, please refer to our Data Files documentation.

Reviewing the app.log file is often the first step towards resolving any problems you might experience, or it can provide useful insights when communicating with our support team. Ensure you include relevant log excerpts if you reach out for help—this helps us to quickly identify and resolve your issue!
