WhatPulse now has its own, official dynamic (signature) image service. The biggest advantage over other image generator services is the drag & drop feature. Instead of entering co-ordinates for where all your text should be, you simple just use your mouse.
You can use the WhatPulse Dynamic Images anywhere you like, they aren't just limited to forum signatures!
This article gives you a quick guide of how to use the dynamic image system.
First, click the Preferences image. The first thing you'll see is General Preferences. Here, you choose what image filetype you want. You can currently choose between .jpg and .gif. Once you've chosen, click save.
Next, click 'Background Image' in the left menu. You can either select a pre-made image under the 'Shared Images' section, or upload your own. When you upload your own image, you have the option to add it to the Shared Images list. If you choose to upload an image, it will appear in the 'Private Images' section.
When you know what image you want to use, simply click on it and it will be saved as your background image.
Next, click 'Font' in the left menu. As with the background images, you can either choose 'Shared Fonts' or upload your own. You can only upload .ttf fonts. You are also able to share fonts. You can select multiple fonts to be added to your font list by clicking on them. Your font list is located in the 'Design Your Image' section.
Once you've complete the basic setup, you can now add text and items to your signature image. Click the 'Design Your Image' - You will see your chosen background image and two buttons - 'Save Image' and 'Add Text'.
You can add as much or as little as you like to your image. To add a new item, click 'Add Text'. In the 'Options' dropdown, you can choose between either 'Text' or 'Statistic'.
Use the 'A+' 'A-' signs to adjust the size of your text. You can change the size of text for individual items. To remove an item, just click the red '-' at the end of the table.
Your custom fonts will be displayed in the 'Font' drop-down, along with default fonts like Arial.
When you've finished customizing your image, click 'Save Image'. You will receive confirmation that the image is saved.
Your dynamic image updates automatically every 2 hours. However, if you change modules on the image and save it, it automatically regenerates.
