Newsletter option:

You may have noticed when the make-over from the old website to the red one around new years, that an option called 'Newsletter' appeared in your profile. Untill now, that did absolutely nothing. :-)

It is now hooked up to a mailinglist that for one, will mail news posts to you. If you turn this option off you will be unsubscribed from the mailinglist and won't get these emails.

WebAPI:

It finally got improved, and quite a bit.

The WebAPI now consists of XML files that update every 6 hours, giving about every statistical fact about your profile that's possible.

If you want to make use of these files; there's an option in your profile called 'Generate XML statistics' (Same option as in a team profile, a founder can turn this on for their teams). Tick this, save you profile and wait untill 3:00, 9:00, 15:00 or 21:00 GMT has passed your statistic file has been created!

An example script to parse the XML file and display it on your website is available on the Downloads page.

If you have your own script pointed to the user.php script, user_rss.php script or any of the other PHP API scripts, please recode your scripts to use the XML files. The PHP scripts will be gone in a few weeks (read; about 2 months).

mIRC users should update their scripts aswell, there's a new version which supports the new WebAPI.

More information about this can be found on the WebAPI page.

Edit, apperantly the news email got sent twice, sorry!
