Running WhatPulse on Fedora
Based on trying out a few different Linux distros this weekend and comparing the experiences on my particular hardware, I think Fedora is the one I want to use for Linux-y stuff because it's particularly snappy where others seem to suffer graphics-related slowdowns. But WhatPulse won't run on my Fedora install because it can't find a system tray.
I have Fedora 27 x64 installed using the default window manager, default DE, etc. Neither the Debian build nor the Ubuntu build will work for me, they both give the same system tray error. What I expected was an error related to OpenSSL/AES (based on the wiki and other threads I found mentioning Fedora), but this problem I don't know what to do with. |
